How to Paint New Year’s Celebration Star Burst Nail Art Finger Nails

Today I decided that I wanted some cute nails to go with tonight’s New Year’s Celebration theme. It’s quick, simple, and easy to do while using my Glamouricious Nail Art Kit. You are sure to get compliments wherever you go.

REMEMBER: When using the Nail Art Kits, You do not draw on the nail by pressing the delicate pen tip on your nail. Instead, you squeeze the applicator bottle and allow the paint to flow from the tip while lightly drawing. ALWAYS shake the bottle first with the lid still on to properly mix the paint.

Here’s my step by step instructions:

Just like with any nail polish, the polish will last longer if you use both a base coat and a top coat. If you don’t want to use both, at least try to use one or the other. I use both a clear base coat and a clear top coat because I like my polish to last a long time. I have 2 kids, so I don’t get the luxury of changing my polish every day like I used to as a teen; not to mention, all the things my hands go through during the day .

So first, paint your finger nails with a clear base coat as I have done here:

Then paint your nails with the black color (using the brush) in the Glamouricious Nail Art Polish Kit.

(Or, if you have a bottle of black nail polish on hand, use that.)

Next, we are going to use the Pearlescent Lavender and the pen tip from the Glamouricious Sassy Nail Art Kit.

Draw a long Diagonal Line from the base of your nail to a little past the middle. This will be the center of your burst.

Now draw 2 smaller lines, one horizontal and one vertical on each side of the center diagonal line like this:

You can add a little curvature to those lines if you want, or you can make them straight.

Next, we are going to use the Pearlescent Pink nail color and the pen tip from the Glamouricious Sassy Nail Art Kit. This is my favorite color in the kit!

Let the nail polish dry, and paint the entire nail with the glitter color using the brush.

To make the nail polish last longer, finish off with a clear top coat.
