I hope everyone has enjoyed some of their favorite activities on this lovely Independence Day weekend!
We’ve had a very busy holiday week with family in town, and have enjoyed some much needed family activities!! It’s been very busy, and I am worn out, but I wouldn’t change a single thing about it! Of course, my kids are already asking what we are going to do next, and I really just want to relax! Kids just don’t ever seem to get enough, do they?
Here’s some pics of a few of the things we have done over the last few days:
It’s been blazing hot here in Edmond, OK so we took the kiddos to White Water Bay in Oklahoma City to get some cooling off fun in the sun time. We had a blast!
On the Early Morning of Independence Day, we went to the Edmond, OK 2013 LibertyFest Parade. The kids loved it and the adults did too! My favorite parts have always been the Shriners doing all their crazy tricks on their little cars and the gorgeous Clydesdale Horses.
After the Independence Day LibertyFest Parade, we took our out of town family to the Oklahoma City Zoo where we watched the Sea Lion Show. It was so awesome, and worth every penny!
Then we had an evening of grilling steaks, making desserts, eating good food, and going to the Independence Day Edmond Liberty Fest Fireworks Display. It is the BEST fireworks show I have ever seen in my life – no joke! You will be able to find me there every year!
Oh, and last, but certainly not least, my little Yorkie, Bella, gave birth to 2 beautiful Yorkie Baby Boys – Buster and Peanut. Buster weighed a whopping 5.6 ounces, and Peanut weighed a whole 3.4 ounces. They are so precious!!
And that about wraps it up for this late night / early morning post. This momma needs some rest!
